The Q10 Laser used at Southend Laser Clinic is also effective in the removal of unwanted pigmented lesions, as well as stimulating collagen and brightening the skin to achieve a more even tone. Treatment can be tailored to each individual or concern and is suitable for all skin types.

 

PIGMENTED LESIONS

Q10 can remove a variety of pigmented lesions such as Freckles, Age spots (Lentigos), Sunspots (Solar Lentigos), Café all Lait (Birthmarks), Seborrheic Keratosis, Hyperpigmentation and Melasma. Most of these are caused by an overproduction of melanin resulting in darker blemishes on the skin.

The Q10 uses specific wavelengths of light in very short bursts of energy targeting these lesions to fragment the pigmentation causing it the move to the surface of the skin and flake off. The result will be a more even skin tone, brightening of the skin and more youthful appearance.

 

FRACTIONAL SKIN REJUVENATION

Using a fractional tip it can deliver high energy pulses to stimulate the production of collagen over time as well as reduce pigmented lesions. The immediate result is redness and tightening of the skin and over time lines and wrinkles will soften as the natural collagen is restored in the area. The fractional lens minimises downtime and increases safety. 3-5 sessions are recommended 2-4 weeks apart.

 

 

CARBON LASER PEEL

A light coat of carbon cream is applied to the skin prior to treatment. Once dry, the laser is activated and the energy absorbed by the carbon to increase heat penetration in the skin. This is an ideal treatment for reducing pore size, improving and brightening skin tone leaving the skin glowing with a healthier and more youthful appearance. Sometimes called the Hollywood Peel it is an ideal treatment for immediate improvement in skin tone as it achieves a mild exfoliation and resurfacing in a comfortable treatment with no side effects.

iCool Skin Cooling

At Southend Laser we use advanced skin cooling technology to ensure our treatments are comfortable. Delivering chilled air below -30 °C the iCool provides a variable flow of chilled air. When used alongside Q10 treatments, the iCool can provide a level of comfort cooling and may be used before, during & after laser or IPL treatments.
